In the mid 90s, the vast area of Lowveld, occupied by cattle-ranches, were transformed into one of the largest conservation areas in the continent, where today one of the largest world populations of lions roams free, as well as the largest and vital population of black rhinos in Zimbabwe, along with elephants, wild dogs, leopards, hippos and many other species.
